When the lights go down, murder takes centre stage!
October 1930. A quiet Saturday afternoon turns into a scene of horror when shots ring out during a cinema matinee and when the doors are opened, a sickening scene of dead bodies is revealed. The killer is nowhere to be seen but he or she leaves a host of questions behind, first of which is the motive. Why were all these people killed?
DI Matthew Stannard is on leave when the emergency call is made, but this case is so big, it's all hands on deck. The clues are thin on the ground and little progress has been made when Matthew is put in charge. His reputation for catching killers means everyone expects him to find the gunman, but as the days pass, the public grows restless. They're demanding a result and if they don't get it, they'll take matters into their own hands.
